Former Messina Mayor Accorinti, the No Bridge Movement, says: "We're ready to occupy."

The Interministerial Committee for Economic Planning and Sustainable Development (CIPES) has approved the final design for the Messina Strait Bridge . "We'll go and occupy it," explained Renato Accorinti, former mayor and longtime activist of the No Bridge Movement, adding: "We don't care about prison. For us, respecting and defending a place like this is important and sacred."
